Will take Lindholm off your hands for JVR, plus ?. You will have your good left winger and TO gets another top 4 D that they need. |

How about Wideman and Hamilton strait up for Lindholm, no salary retained. |

Great blog, Ed! While I'm glad to be watching real hockey again it's hard to get excited for the season when your teams best defenseman is in Sweden and it looks like he'll be there long term.
I'm curious as to where you heard Lindholm was asking for $7.5 million? I'd heard that he was in the $6.5 per year area and Murray was offering below $6 mil, which is absurd on their part. |

so I've never spammed at this level. I apologize, but I have no choice.
In a bit of a bind in my "hockeybuzz" league.
Had a manager drop out this morning like a champ.
The (3 hour long) draft is 8:15pm EST TONIGHT.
20 teams
4C, 3LW, 3RW, 2W, 6D, 1G, 6BN, 1IR+, 2IR
Stats:
G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SOG, FW, HIT, BLK
W, GAA, SV, SV%, SHO
Random snake draft, not a keeper league, no divisions, top 8 make the playoffs
Message me if you're interested.
Again, I apologize. In 8 years of fantasy and dozens of teams, I've never had this happen before. |

Ed's correct. CL (agent) is quoted as saying Linholm should be paid like Ekhart (7.5per). I'm too lazy to look up the quote. Now, I believe that figure has been dropped to 7M on their part, and BM is at 6M, and I think that's where things currently stand. |

Can't wait to see Hampus & RR tear it up tonight and on the rest of the trip- I think they will really grow this year and put the team on their back - woohoo |

Yep the season is here . But unfortunately lindholm and rakell not having contracts is kind of raining on the parade . But anyways . I'm excited to see the young guys . How good they will be very important to our sucess in the future and if they are good we will be Stanley cup contenders again . Gibson , Sorenson, Ritchie , Theodore, ect. Should be interesting too watch . So cheers people. |

Man if there that good, I can't understand why you don't just pay them. Why low ball a #1 D man for the next decade and super skilled C/W?

I've been racking my brain for 3 months on that exact question / conclusion ...
Murray complete & utter MORON ... Much more important to get Boll / Raymond & AV in the mix |

Good read Ed!
Tonight's game against Dallas just wrapped up, and it was interesting. I think this team looked prepared, but the execution wasn't there when it needed to be. Randy Carlyle gave the big boys big time minutes: Perry 22, Getzlaf 24, Kesler 20 and Silfverberg 21. Defensively he rode Fowler and Vatanen primarily who saw 25 and 23 minutes each. Despres had 16 TOI prior to getting injured towards the end of the second.
One thing I liked, that I noticed in preseason too, was how there was more carry-ins, as opposed to dump and chase. Perry and Getzlaf are excellent at creating chances off the rush, so that was good to see. Also, there wasn't the offensive zone stagnation that plagued last year's 5-on-5 play. Carlyle is bringing positives to the table.
Nevertheless, how many times can you go down by one to Dallas? Not 3. Even with the absence of Lindholm and Rakell, the group on the ice tonight can win, and should be disappointed they didn't get the jump on Dallas earlier, as I think they could have held a lead if they had gotten one. Also, as good as Rakell and Lindholm are, the belief that this team's success is 100% contingent on them being in the lineup is pure folly.
There is an opportunity for redemption on Saturday. This group is better than what they exemplified tonight, so they need to figure that out, so they can get the W that they should have gotten tonight. An 0-2 start is unacceptable. |

It seems like you are never going to understand this, but those guys did not take Lindholm and Rakell's money. Bieksa, Stoner, Fowler, Vatanen and Despres did. |

Signing them didn't help either ok / and while I'm at it time spent with dealing w/ those killer additions took time away from getting 47/67 handled -
- the thing is when you have elite players and sign trash instead of taking the time and effort to bring your future into the fold it doesn't sit well with players in the room or the guys you are trying to sign - |
